However, we know that in some cases have to refrain from drinking water because it could have detrimental effects on health. drink water before, during and after a meal, it is not recommended and here’s why.
If you have a habit of drinking water immediately before eating will slow down digestion by diluting the gastric juice and the weakening of the digestive system. People who need to take medication before a meal must do at least one hour in advance and limit water consumption until they eat.
If you drink water right after you finish your meal that will directly affect food quality and strength of the digestive system. Any food eaten that water will act as coolant and this soon lead to an unexpected increase in weight.
When should you drink water?
consume water at least 30 minutes after meals. It will give a feeling of fullness and will satisfy your thirst. After an hour or two you can drink as much water as you want because the digestion process will be more for the moment.
If you can not control your thirst and want to drink water between meals, drink in small quantities. Water should be at room temperature because cold water can cause digestive enzymes inactive, and leads to a toxic waste accumulates in your body.
stay away from carbonated and caffeinated drinks while eating, because it can cause acid reflux and digestive problems.
