First introduced by German immigrants in the 19th ap century, hot dogs grew rapidly in popularity and he became fast food more widely enjoyed in the late 20 ap and 21 st centuries.
But popularity aside, are also one of the foods more damaging than can possibly consume. As found in recent studies, hot dogs can trigger 4 cancers, including bladder, colon, pancreas and stomach.
According to a recent report by the World Health Organization (WHO), all processed meats with red meat can lead to cancer.
The manufacturing process of hot dogs consists of leftovers of pork, beef and chicken, which commonly include animals’ edible ‘products, such as animal heads and feet, fat and mixed skins.
This mixture is then enriched with a number of additives including high amounts of salt, corn syrup, nitrates and other chemicals, most of which have been linked to cancer.
Moreover, the health risks of hot dogs are the same as those of smoking according to organizations such as the Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine.
Most health hazardous additives in hot dogs are nitrates and nitrites, which bind with high heat amines to form nitrosamines as well.
And most are carcinogenic nitrosamines.

Even eating a hot dog a day increases the risk of colorectal cancer by 21%, according to the American Institute for Cancer Research. Unfortunately, organic hot dogs contain nitrites also, sometimes even at higher than traditional hot dogs quantities.
