Have you ever baked in a mason jar? Me neither, but I’ll start! See how Chow takes baking to a whole new level! For your information personally I would exchange the wheat flour with coconut flour or flour chia to avoid eggs, sugar for honey, use butter or coconut oil grassfed and topped with homemade whipped coconut cream ! You can make any healthy recipe!
Chow says, “Start with two and a half cups of fresh seasonal fruit. Put the four jars half-pint. Combine a half cup of flour, half a cup of sugar and salt half a teaspoon. beat with a fork and pour over fruit, and then top with butter. once the bottles are filled, move them to a baking dish square. fill the inside of the baking dish with a little dried beans to keep jars slipping. Bake at 350 for one hour. After cooking, let the jars cool completely. I like to put some whipped cream on top, if desired, you can be kept in the refrigerator for up to one week. they make a great gift, and are impressive for a picnic. ”
Yum! Easy, cheap and delicious. I can not wait to try.
