Seven Chakras and Their Significance

Chakra It comes from the Sanskrit word “ cakra” meaning “ wheel .” But Jaggi Vasudev or Sadhguru in his blog argues that chakras are actually triangles . It incorporates movement of energy from one dimension to another. There found seven chakras along the spine until the end of the anal region to the top of the head .

Sadhguru says that there are 114 such points of energy out of which two are outside the physical body . Out of the 112, 108 actually can work on. Interestingly, 108 was manifested in the human system, because it is an important number in manufacturing the solar system. Each has a specific quality. Each chakra is associated with a certain body part or organ that provides the energy it needs to function . Therefore, moving through the seven chakras or dimensions in our physical and spiritual well-being, we refine our energy from material identity basic level to a level at which we realize our spirit .

The seven chakras are:

1. Muladhara (Root Chakra- base of the spine)

refers to our physical survival . it is synonymous with our beliefs through our formative years. If the energy is out of balance in this chakra, which could lead to certain problems such as stress, anxiety, obesity, constipation, communication inhibited with family and friends

2. Swadhisthana (sacral chakra – S slightly below the navel)

This energy refers to creating awareness towards oneself and others . Ego, sexuality and family are defined as work with this energy. Excess energy could cause one to be jealous, lustful, controlling. A deficiency can cause one to be submissive, stop, develop lower back pain, sciatica or develop sexual difficulties

3. Manipura (solar plexus Chakra- slightly above the Naval)

connects us with the energy our will . This is where we develop our self-esteem and expression of personal power. tribute to emotions, creativity, intellectual understanding and self-confidence It pays. Excess energy could make a selfish, self-absorbed and control. An energy deficiency could lead to low self-esteem, fear of rejection and lack of identity

4. Anahata (heart chakra-center chest)

is the center of spiritual growth, compassion, devotion and love . The crossing where our spirit resides or true self. The upper chakras can not be evaluated until it passes this point energy. When this chakra is open to they are forgiving, have healthy lungs and healthy immune system. Excess energy could result in inappropriate emotional limits. Energy deficiency could cause a person to be bitter and dejected

5. Vishuddha (Throat Chakra-Set in the throat)

is the center of creativity, communication and self-expression . A saying that fits this chakra, “think before you speak!” Located between the head and the heart, it focuses on maintaining the integrity. Through this chakra, we express our voice to the world, a voice of honesty, diplomacy and confidence. Excess energy could lead to judgment speech, hurtful while energy deficiency could mean an inability to express, thyroid and other throat infections

6. Ajna (Third Eye Chakra-Located on the forehead)

is the center of intuition and spiritual vision . Commonly known as the “ Third Eye ” (see the world through our spirit and not only our physical eyes) that evokes a spiritual awakening from within. It is the chakra of forgiveness and passion. Excess energy could lead to being over-analytical, while a deficiency can lead to poor imagination, delusions and lack of concentration

7. Sahasrara (Crown Chakra-Located at the top of the head)

This chakra represents the highest level of awareness and enlightenment integrates all the chakras and their respective qualities and brings the realization that we are spiritual beings .; our soul / spirit lives beyond mortal limits of the body. This is the highest form of energy, an essence of the Creator that is filtered through our crown chakra to the root. We connected to a power greater than ourselves and we realize that we live in the present. Blocks in this chakra could result in fear, depression and nervous system disorders.
