  • 2 cups water

  • 3 slices fresh ginger
  • 6 cloves
  • 3 peppercorns
  • 6 cardamom seeds
  • 1 teaspoon fennel
  • a drizzle of honey (optional)


Pour water into a pot and add all ingredients except honey. Wait until the mixture begins to boil and reduce heat. Cover the pot with a lid and simmer for 20 minutes or until liquid is reduced by half.

Strain the tea and pour the liquid into a cup.

Finally, sweeten the tea with honey.
