There's nothing worse than looking in the mirror and seeing a sentinel standing on the surface of his well-groomed skin. No matter how good the rest of you look, the knowledge of that unsightly stain will ruin every time you face your reflection for the rest of the day.
What are pimples?
Pimples occur when excess oil from the skin (known as sebum) and dead skin cells accumulate in the pores of the skin, small holes that allow the skin to "breathe". The black pimples are the result of clogged pores that have open surfaces, which allows oxidation of dark color that gives name to the stain.
For most men, the battle with blackheads reaches its peak during adolescence, when hormones that fluctuate greatly cause your skin to be rinsed with excess oil. But they can appear from time to time even during their glory days, thanks to sweat, dirt, bacteria, poor diet and even stress.

How to get rid of pimples
Try an oil-based cleaner. Crazy as it seems, the oil dissolves the oil, which is exactly what your face needs affected by the black head. Jojoba oil in particular has a chemical composition almost identical to that of sebum, which makes it an excellent option to clean your pores without drying the skin. Rub a tablespoon of the oil on your face, let it sit for 5 to 10 minutes, then steam it with a warm damp cloth. Try it for a week; you may be surprised how effective it is.
Exfoliate. But not too much. Along with excess sebum, dead skin cells are the main cause of pore blockage and accumulation that ends with a black shin. However, do not exaggerate with the exfoliation: getting too jealous with the exfoliant or the skin brush will irritate your skin and (you guessed it) will cause an excess of sebum.
Try a clay mask. The French green clay is a way of waiting honored by the time to calm the irritated skin while extracting the impurities. If you have never tried it, you are ready for a treatment. The cool sensation of the mud on your skin relaxes instantly, and the smoky towel you use to clean it is a great pursuer. These are some of the best masks for men.
Reconsider your diet. We did not want to have to say it, but … well, we're saying it. Poor nutrition has been linked to dermatological outbreaks, and we're not just talking about fatty foods, although that's certainly a classic culprit. Processed foods, foods high in sugar or simple carbohydrates, even excess in delicious incredible foods, such as craft beer and pork belly with grass, cause your blood sugar to rise, which causes a chain reaction that leads to overproduction of sebum. We are not saying you can not enjoy a plate of poutine or a slice of intoxicating pizza again. Just loosen until your skin is regulated.
Balance your hormones Teenagers are not the only ones with hormonal problems: hormones are equally susceptible to becoming unbalanced if their diet is poorly prepared, they are not getting enough sleep or if they are really stressed. By treating the underlying cause by improving your overall health or by taking a natural adaptogen (ie, a hormonal balancer) such as maca root or reishi mushroom, you may see an improvement in your skin.
How to prevent pimples
Keep your skin clean. This is your first line of defense against pimples. Get yourself a good soap or mild cleanser and use it every day. You can use a mild toner or even apple cider vinegar (regardless of the smell) to expel dirt and protect against bacteria.
Avoid products that "tighten" or "minimize" pores. Do not give in to the temptation to try to close the pores. That is actually counterproductive (not to mention a practical impossibility). Pores are how your skin breathes. Trying to close them or dry them with alcohol-based or benzoyl peroxide treatments will only excessively activate the sebaceous glands, which will lead to worse outbreaks. Keeping the skin slightly moisturized is the best way to moderate your oil production and keep pimples at bay.
If you take preventive measures and follow up with proper treatment, your blackheads will dissolve quickly, along with the embarrassment you may feel from having one.
