When you think wheat, protein is probably not your first association.
But did you know that this seemingly healthy food actually has the ability to produce no less than 23,788 different proteins ( 1 )?
So, wheat ( Triticumestivum) is actually the byproduct of three separate ancestor who joined to form a single plant plants therefore it has a minimum of 6 games chromosomes.
therefore, why is this a problem? After all, protein is a good thing, right?
Well, according to several studies, the gluten (the main protein in wheat) can cause serious immune responses in a large number of the population. your body not only attacks these proteins, but also attacks the digestive wall, leading to a number of issues, including syndrome leaky gut ( 2 ). This autoimmune response is also the basis of another disease, Celiac disease (CD), which can be very serious if left untreated ( 3 ).
gluten is actually the Latin name of “glue” which, of course, we all know that essentially means a sticky and viscous substance that binds things.
is reality, however, the bonds created by gluten are the same links based on rock solid sulfur, which are both in human hair and vulcanized rubber! As you can imagine, this makes it almost impossible for your digestive system to break these down, hence the immune system goes on the attack ( 4 5 ).
While experts estimate that celiac disease affects about 1 percent of the population, some researchers suggest that 20-30 percent of the world population actually have a genetic susceptibility to the disease celiac based on a specific chromosome ( 6 7 ).
What is more worrying, however, is that beyond those who actually are given a specific diagnosis, it is believed that an increasing number of other people to be “sensitive” to gluten and experience symptoms as a result. In developed countries, namely, researchers estimate that 83 percent of patients remain undiagnosed, usually because they have “nonclassical” or even minimal complaints ( 8 9 ).
For those who are not diagnosed with celiac disease, the current problems can still become serious, and often even more because they are undiagnosed and therefore untreated.

Gluten / Connection brain
is hard to imagine that something as seemingly innocuous as wheat literally can make you crazy, or worse.

Gluten and cerebellar ataxia
While you may have heard of a condition known as cerebellar ataxia, which is essentially caused by small lesions in the cerebellum, the part of the brain controls motor functions. What may come as a surprise it is that a form of the disease may actually be caused or at least aggravated by eating gluten.
This very serious condition called “gluten ataxia,” occurs when the immune system attacks the brain, similar to the way it attacks the intestine. Symptoms of gluten ataxia usually refer to the body’s ability to control muscle coordination. These include such things as dizziness, clumsiness, loss of coordination, fatigue, difficulty speaking and swallowing, muscle tremors, gait disorders or difficulty walking, nausea and vomiting; all of which are also caused by head trauma or injury ( 15 ).
At this time, there are more than enough studies to show that there is a positive relationship between gluten, gluten sensitivity and cerebellar ataxia ( 16 17 18 19 ). The first study controlled ever done this connection further demonstrated when patients improved significantly after they were put on a gluten-free diet ( 20 ).
Gluten and schizophrenia
Another disease of fear caused by eating gluten is schizophrenia.
This very serious mental disorder typically afflicts between 0.3-0.7 percent of the population ( 21 ).
While conventional medicine agree that “neuroimaging studies do show differences in brain structure and central nervous system of people with schizophrenia” ( 22 ). However, often does not look at gluten as the culprit, despite the fact that there are very strong statistical links between celiac disease, gluten sensitivity and schizophrenia. In fact, many studies show a positive correlation between gluten antibodies in their bloodstream and schizophrenia ( 23 24 25 26 27 ).

While the above two conditions must be enough to influence you to get rid of wheat forever, there are a variety of other disorders and diseases of the brain that researchers believe are associated with the disease celiac and gluten sensitivity, including autism and epilepsy ( 32 33 34 35 )!
MRI (magnetic resonance imaging) also shows that people who suffer from celiac disease have significant brain abnormalities, especially those who suffer from headaches and migraines, a common complaint among people with CD ( 36 ).
researchers have also studied such things as the activation of the immune system and the “increased capacity of toxins and pathogens to enter your blood stream.” this was shown to be caused by eating gluten, and a real connection with this condition and mental illness ( 37 ) positively it determines there.
also in some cases where brain disorders are the result of a loss of brain mass, adopting a gluten-free diet has also been show to help.
While wheat or gluten not always displayed directly cause the above conditions, there is sufficient evidence, according to psychology Today suggesting that gluten may be a contributing factor and, therefore avoid ( 38 ).
The mere fact that researchers are still studying the link between wheat, gluten and mental illness and diseases of the brain, not to mention the other 200 subjects is shown to cause, should be sufficient to give anyone pause. It may be time to let the bread and explore other grains .
