Elderberry kombucha Soda recipe

Two recipes that are basic in the kitchen, especially at this time of year are Kombucha and elderberry syrup . Kombucha is a great source of beneficial bacteria, enzymes and vitamins, while the elderberry is a traditional remedy to protect themselves from the disease.

Combine the two and you get a delicious, fizzy and “refresh” of immune stimulation that is delicious and easy to make.

What is Kombucha?

If you have never done or tried before, it is a traditional fermented Kombucha tea containing enzymes, probiotics and vitamins. Although is made with sweet tea, sugar ferments out in the manufacturing process of enzymes and probiotics, leaving a finished product with minimal sugar.

This is a tutorial on getting started with making Kombucha and asked all my supplies Kombucha Kamp . If you are not a fan of DIY version, pre-made kombucha is now available in most grocery stores and even some boxes and large discount stores.

Benefits of Elderberry?

Elderberries are a traditional remedy for colds and flu. elderberry syrups, tinctures and capsules are appearing even in regular grocery stores.

I prefer to make my own elderberry syrup with berries dried elderberry so you can make sure that I use quality ingredients. Here is my original recipe elderberry syrup

What do ?.

When combining elderberry syrup and Soda Kombucha a perfectly carbonated and slightly sweet drink, which was a great way to get the benefits of elderberry and kombucha made into a drink. There are two ways to make Kombucha elderberry:

  • Simple Version : Using pre-made syrup and homemade kombucha elderberry. Syrup of elderberry served as a source of sugar for a second fermentation that creates carbonation (see this recipe for instructions on what and how to make a secondary fermentation) and all you have to do is pour the syrup elderberry in the kombucha. You can also simply add 1 teaspoon of elderberry syrup to a glass of homemade Kombucha or pre-made and pre-carbonated drink immediately
  • Basic Version :. If you do not already have elderberry syrup in hand, a simpler secondary ferment could be done simply by adding 1 tablespoon of dried elderberry with 1 teaspoon of raw, organic sugar (ferment out) a 32 oz mason jar of homemade (or store bought) kombucha. This plug sealed with a tight lid and leave at room temperature for 2-3 days until the desired carbonation is reached and leave in the refrigerator until drinking.

  1. for the simple recipe combine 1 tablespoon syrup elderberry pre-made with a bottle of 32 oz kombucha. If the kombucha is already Carbonated of a secondary fermentation, this can be consumed immediately. If not, and you want the carbonation, cover the jar tightly with a tight lid and leave on the table for 2-3 days before transfer to the refrigerator
  2. For a more basic recipe .: If you do not have elderberry syrup in hand, but you can find some dried berries elderberry, simply add 1 tablespoon of dried berries elderberry and organic sugar 1 teaspoon to 32 ounces of kombucha prepared. Cover and leave at room temperature for 2-3 days before transfer to the refrigerator to store. Colar elderberries out before drinking.
  3. Enjoy 8 ounces per day.
