The body processes this type of fat very differently than other fats, such as fatty foods, dairy products and vegetable oils. For example, it has been scientifically proven that saturated fats MCT-boosting good cholesterol levels, unlike other types of fat from animal products.

In addition to improving heart health, the MCT support healthy weight loss. According to a study registered in the European Journal of Nutrition, consumption of foods containing high amounts of MCT increases diet-induced thermogenesis more than 50 percent.

Thermogenesis is the production of heat within the body. Given the fact that the metabolic rate rises, but also helps you lose weight. Raising metabolism is very important because it is the metabolism that determines the amount of calories consumed by the daily energy expenditure.
