Don’t believe the hype: Sugar alcohols like Xylitol are neither sugar nor alcohol and may increase your risk of breast cancer

(NaturalHealth365) If you are on a path of healing of any kind, you certainly want to avoid sugar. For about 9% of the US population suffer from diabetes (and 40% of the population are said to be “pre-diabetic”), the case against it is clear.

Of course, if it comes to cancer, remember that sugar feeds tumors ! You may also know that artificial sweeteners are not better, as recent studies have directly related chemicals such as aspartame cancers such as leukemia and breast cancer .

But what about the so-called “sugar alcohols” such as xylitol, erythritol, mannitol and sorbitol? They are touted in the media as “natural” and good for diabetes and those who want to prevent tooth decay. But what are they really so sure?

Sugar alcohols such as xylitol also known as polyols. They can be found in processed foods such as chewing gum, candy, ice cream, baked goods, fruit pastes, glazes, yogurt, tabletop sweeteners and increasingly in many “diet” and the “vitamin infused “drinks on the market today.

The ironic thing about them is that containing sugar or alcohol . True, they are very low in calories and low positions in the occupied glycemic index. The reason for this, however, is that they are processed, highly refined chemicals that the body simply can not absorb all!

Although the Administration Food and Drug US has determined that sugar alcohols are “GRAS” (Generally Recognized as Safe), evidence shows that connects these mysterious substances for many disease states including leaky gut , neurological damage and cancer. In fact, organizations, even the mainstream are coming to the conclusion that “there is not enough information to confirm” that the various sugar alcohols on the market are safe for pregnant women and breast-feeding, whale studies animals showing tumor growth as a result of a regular intake of high doses.

The most notable side effect of consumption of sugar alcohols is how they affect your gut. Sugar alcohols interfere with the functioning of the intestinal mucosa, the area in which immune cells reside.

Because they are not able to be digested, sugar alcohols pass through the stomach and earth in the small intestine completely intact. After that, a process of “passive diffusion” occurs; the end result is unmetabolized portions remaining in the bowel indefinitely.

These particles eventually begin to rot, creating an environment conducive to environment bad bacteria and other pathogens to grow. Chemical materials in the gut also affect cells enterocytes lining the intestinal wall. With a larger amount of sugar alcohols undigested lying on its surface, the coating becomes weak, which makes the “tight junctions” that are the barrier between the digestive system and the circulatory system.

This process leads to what is known as leaky gut, the primary health problem studies show connects to other disease states including dozens :. autoimmune disease, thyroid disease, metabolic problems, neurological problems and breast cancer

In addition to how they affect the gut, repeated consumption of sugar alcohols are also linked to an increased risk of cancer several other fronts. First, substances such as erythritol and xylitol are created using mostly waste products and substances OMG .

Erythritol is derived from corn sugar, most of which comes from genetically modified maize. Sorbitol comes primarily from OMG cornstarch, whereas xylitol, a carbohydrate found naturally in the birch tree, is manufactured through the combination of waste birch and corn transgenics.

Furthermore, many of these substances, such as mannitol and xylitol, are created by chemical manipulation through hydrogenation. There is strong evidence that both substances OMG and hydrogenation (the process that creates trans fats) can lead to cancer. For example, GMO foods have been linked to breast cancer and the hydrogenation process has been linked not only cancer, but heart disease in multiple studies.

Some recent studies are beginning to connect a sugar alcohol directly into the tumor growth as well. A May 2016 Swedish study published in the journal Oncotarget made the connection between erythritol and glioblastoma (GBM), an aggressive form of brain cancer that is formed from cells in the form of star make up the supportive tissue of the brain.

At the same time, studies dating back to the late 70s (the first time being introduced substance) attached to xylitol not only to questions of the gallbladder, but also tumor growth in mice. Xylitol is manufactured using hydrogenation, as well as the use of nickel metal heavy carcinogenic. Of course, the evidence shows that disperses xylitol can prevent cavities, but is it really worth the risk of cancer?

As if you do not have enough to worry regarding sugar alcohols, companies processed foods, especially beverage companies, are now mixing sugar alcohols with crystalline fructose, as well as known carcinogens aspartame and saccharin, chemical cocktails that are anything but “natural”. Of particular interest is Coca-Cola Vitamin Water.

According to many experts in integrative health, crystalline fructose is worse than high fructose corn syrup – because it does not stimulate insulin receptors. The use of crystalline fructose can also raise triglyceride levels and lead to heavy metal toxicity , especially in the form of arsenic, lead and chloride -. Used in the manufacturing process
