"We enter here and try to minimize the fuel load and then stack the firewood," said Corrales fire chief Anthony Martinez. "So, if I can't sell it or get rid of it quickly, that's in its own way – Another danger of fire, so we really need to get rid of this wood. Hopefully this year."
People can buy a $ 10 permit from the city hall of Corrales that will pay half the cord of firewood from the fire department.
Once permission is obtained, fire department officials will call to schedule a firewood pickup time. They will even help people load it in their car.
