12 Reasons to Have Beeswax On hand at all times

Imagine for a second, a scenario in which you were simultaneously:

  • care of a newborn who needs constant care
  • building a house with his own hands
  • have to fight against people who try to enter your home
  • remains responsible for normal cooking and cleaning

Stressful- right? However, this is what makes a bee colony daily. Besides that, everything they produce is beneficial in some way!

Why bees are amazing

Have you ever seen the inside of a bee hive honey? Is incredible.

Everything is completely neat, clean and running at all times. Sometimes I have trouble caring for a baby at a time, and honey bees take care of hundreds, while building a house.

As a former beekeeper and watching my son to take care of their beehive, I ‘m in constant awe of how bees are impressive.

Honey, Honey

honey may be the most popular product bees create, but it is far from the only benefit. (But try the use of honey in the face if you have not already).

apitherapy The word refers to the practice of using bee products such as honey, bee pollen, royal jelly, wax beneficial ways. Even honey bee venom has been used therapeutically! Sound crazy? Watch this video from Discovery Channel that explains it.

Now before ramble for hours about how bees are cool (and could actually wander for hours about it!), I want to focus on a specific product bees do and the many uses it has .. .

brightness beeswax :.

bees actually make beeswax and then form it into the structure of the hive. Special glands secrete wax, then chew it and use it to form perfect hexagonal shaped honeycomb.

Have you ever even tried to draw a perfect hexagon? It is difficult even with a ruler, and bees do with mathematical precision.

Bees also have apparently been on board with Life Changing Magic tidying from the beginning. Their hexagon shaped honeycombs offer more storage space with the least amount of construction material (in this case, beeswax).

When beekeepers honey harvest, the top of each cell are removed hexagon shaped in order to extract the honey. These lids are melted and filtered to remove non-wax particles beeswax we use in many recipes DIY is obtained.

Beeswax is one of 7 ingredients to buy in large quantities and always keep on hand for a good part of my recipes and natural remedies. It has dozens of uses in the home.

Benefits of beeswax

Beeswax is an excellent addition to cosmetic products, for many reasons.

  • When used in lotions and creams, beeswax creates a barrier that helps seal moisture into the skin. This is especially beneficial in the cap lip during the dry winter months.
  • This barrier also helps protect the skin from environmental toxins and irritants.
  • Unlike Vaseline , which is used in a variety of beauty products, beeswax will not “suffocate” the skin, but rather, allowed to breathe without leaving to provide a protective barrier.
  • beeswax helps thicken home cosmetics and lotions, as it is solid at room temperature and has a relatively high melting point of 147 degrees Fahrenheit. This is especially useful in recipes that include high amounts of coconut oil, which has a low melting point, or other oils that are liquid at room temperature.
  • Beeswax also has vitamin A, which improves skin hydration and promotes cell regeneration.

You can also buy it in the form block , which is a little less expensive than pills. Having pills is not necessary when you are doing larger projects such as candles, as can be measured by weight rather than by the spoon. Another option is to buy locally if you are able to contact beekeepers in your area. This helps support local beekeepers and often can be found relatively cheaply.
