A Nutritionist Tells You How To Check If Your Food Is Adulterated (Part II)

Adulteration is occasionally unintentionally, however, is usually a purpose and often risky. To test the coffee powder, sprinkle some dust on the water in a glass. While the coffee floats on the surface, chicory begins to sink quickly leaving a trail of color behind.

Cooking oil and coconut oil is sometimes adulterated by mixing with other liquids and oils, including those that are not intended for consumption. While this may not be a foolproof test, oil cooling can greatly help in detecting impurities.
