cancer in the colon or rectum (colorectal cancer) is the third leading cause of deaths related cancer. Since what used to happen especially in the elderly, it is recommended colonoscopies starting at age 50 T oday, however, doctors are starting to see younger people are victims. So how can you protect again colorectal cancer?
Unfortunately, and surprisingly, colonoscopies are not the detection method complete picture we might have thought (this does not mean that you should not get them). Unfortunately, many people and doctors do not realize this.
What do colonoscopies?
The colonoscopies detect growths called polyps. Polyps may be pedunculated, which means “hang” down on a stalk. This type of polyp is fairly easy to detect.
However, there are also sessile polyps, which are flat (like paper sheets film). They do not have a stem and are generally unable to be visualized by colonoscopy. They can even be detected by MRI or cat scans. In short, they are not easy to find and often overlooked.
Therefore our risk of colorectal cancer is much more complex than has been appreciated. Therefore, prevention should be at the top of the list, not just detection.
Why are cancers of the colon increasingly common in younger people?
One of the reasons colon cancers are becoming more common in younger people is damage to a gene that controls growth “out of control”. These are called the Wnt genes.
A University of Colorado study Cancer Center presented at the American Society of Clinical Oncology annual meeting in 2016 showed that the Wnt gene fault signaling pathway in younger people seem be a major problem causing foregoing cancers in the colon.

This gene is damaged in many children DES. DES was given to millions of pregnant women for over 30 years drug. It turned out to be a nasty carcinogen and endocrine disruptor.
I am a DES daughter. While writing one book advance on endocrine disruption Hormone Deception (McGraw-Hill, 2000) , I discovered it was a victim of the phenomenon of endocrine disruption was informing the public about. DES is the composite model to test contaminants every day to see if they are endocrine disruptors.
So I have personally struggled failures Wnt genes for many years. This means I have fought against many cancers, tumors and growth out of control.
The Wnt pathway (as many signaling pathways in the body) controls the transcription of genes – how genetic information is made into proteins. These proteins act as pass emails that sends messages to the cells to get to perform tasks within your body. Cells are soldiers. They need to be told what to do.
Wnt genes are part of the way by counting cells what to do.
genes Wnt protein order to define almost everything in the ecosystem of the body from the intestine tissue growth, and immune function, brain.
Wnt genes can act as tumor suppressor genes that protects us from cancer.
However, they can be damaged.
Wnt genes are damaged by endocrine disrupting compounds (especially of exposures before and during pregnancy). These potential Wnt store harmful compounds into fat. Eggs from a mother wants-to-be are high in fat. The sperm of a father soon-to-be is high in fat. Placentas are high in fat. Breast milk is rich in fat.
Therefore, these harmful molecules Wnt can be spread to the next generation. This can set up a child in “growing out of control” and cancers when they are young adults.
This is what I believe in a call to green pregnancies.
science-based detoxes before conception, or detoxes smoother if you are already pregnant, it makes sense sound.
Wnt failures, my research has shown, drivable by our toxic environment.
Therefore, detoxification before the egg and sperm fusion is part of protecting their children from colorectal cancer in the way.
certainly eat cleaner, cleaner life, and the practice of avoidance tactics endocrine disruption as it can make sense. Here are four steps for protecting your Wnt genes (I describe more protective call to action hormone deception, 3rd edition 2016, available at Amazon ):
- do not microwave food in plastic and then feed this food to his family.
- Do not clean plastic containers, bottles, utensils in the dishwasher, since it has been shown repeatedly to release endocrine disruptors in these products that then get into the food his family.
- leave your shoes at the front door as many pollutants are transported in the bottom of the shoes at home.
- regular catcher detoxes several times a year for endocrine disruptor ‘housecleaning. “
