(fever blisters or herpes labialis) are painful sores that occur on the lips, cheeks, chin, nose, fingers, or genitals. These are caused by a virus called ‘herpes simplex’. fever blisters are painful, accompanied by tingling and burning sensation along with swelling and inflammation. They appear as a cluster of small, white blisters and usually manifest themselves in the same place or area every time the virus is activated. Getting fever blisters can be a real headache and can even spoil its beauty.
There are many over-the-counter medications for cold sores, but are not always effective and can take a long time. Instead, you can try some natural, simple home remedies that can help provide relief in just four or five days.
Aloe vera is another very effective way to treat cold sores fast. It has natural healing powers and antibacterial properties that help disinfect the infected area. In addition, this herb is known to accelerate healing and reduce pain and inflammation.
